Bahikhaata is window-based business accounting software that
helps you manage your Account Books, various accounting reports,
books analysis, and business profitability analysis.
You simply need to login in your company and enter the basic
entries (journal, receipt, payment, sales and purchase). Bahikhaata
does the rest.

What system requirements
are needed to run Bahikhaata?
The system will run on any version of Windows from Win 98
- Win XP.
We recommend Windows XP/2000 Professional operating system
with minimum 128 MB RAM and 500 MB free hard disk space.
Bahikhaata software will not run under the Macintosh system.
In terms of hardware, a Pentium 100 or higher will run the
software.
The more powerful the machine the more efficient the software
will be. Therefore we recommend the latest Pentium 4 processors
to get the most out of the software
Also we recommend the usage of a backup device either a floppy
disk drive / CD writer or a removable Pen drive
How to
install Bahikhaata?
To install the software, open the Readme.doc file in
the setup folder and follow the step-by-step instructions.
How to
get Registration Key for the software?
To register the software, click on the register button in
the options menu. Follow the step-by-step instructions. Fill
the details form.
If you are connected to internet, choose “Register Online”
option. This will automatically submit you information online.
For offline registration, open the Registration file. You
can either print this file or save it to a removable disk
and post it at our address i.e. Beas Software Solutions, RBKC

How can I recover my data entered during
evaluation period on registering the software?
Bahikhaata takes care of the data entered during evaluation
period even after registering the software. The evaluation
package will stop function after 30 days of its installation.
However, the data entered during this period is safe. Once
you purchase the software and enter the registration key,
the software will start working again. As you login into the
company, you will recover all the transactions entered during
evaluation period.
How can I get the trial version of
Bahikhaata?

The issue of trial package is subject to the validity of client
details and at the sole discretion of BSS management.
Can
I extend the software evaluation period?
Bahikhaata trial version runs for 30 days
and thereafter it will ask for a registration key to proceed.
30 days extension can be granted in evaluation period (at
the sole discretion of BSS management) against a nominal charge.

if my Accountant/CA does not have Bahikhaata software?
BSS will make available the Bahikhaata software free of charge
to any properly registered Accountant or Accounting firm.
The Bahikhaata reports have a major platform interdependence
feature, which makes the software quite unique. All reports
generated by the system can be easily exported to the following

I export a report to my Excel spreadsheet?
Yes. Bahikhaata standard reports can be easily exported
to Excel and many other common spreadsheets and databases.
Which
reports can I print with Bahikhaata?
BAHIKHAATA allows you to print number of customized reports
including invoices, vouchers, VAT forms, excise registers,
C-forms, ledger, balance sheet, trial balance, profit and
loss account, trading account, funds flow, cash flow etc.
Can I send
Bahikhaata1.0 report through e-mail?
BAHIKHATA 1.0 reports can be sent through
e-mail using HTML format without requiring any additional
software.
Which printer do I need
to buy for reports printing?
You need not buy an additional printer for printing Bahikhaata
reports. Any printer, which works with your windows or office
applications, a laser, ink jet, desk-jet or a dot matrix,
will work perfectly with Bahikhaata also.
Will
Bahikhaata run with multiple users?
Yes. BAHIKHAATA is designed for the single user, or for multiple
users. By default, the software is installed in a single user
mode. You can easily switch from single to multiple user mode
as your needs change. In order to protect your company’s data
in multi-user mode, Bahikhaata runs with the multi-user server.
It is a small module that regulates access to the data file
and ensures that each employee is only allowed to make changes
according to his/her permission level.
In order to run Bahikhaata in multi-user environment, simply
buy the number of user licenses that is equal to the number
of individuals that will be using the software.
What is Bahikhaata
multi-user server?
The Bahikhaata Multi-User Server is a small module that regulates access to your data file, when you are working in multi-user mode - e.g. when several people in an office are sharing the same accounting data. You install the server software, tell it where the data file is, and then add users. For each user, you simply define the name, a password, and give that user his/her permission level.
The server and the data file can be on the same computer, or even on the separate computers.
Note: Bahikhaata business accounting software will not work
in multi-user mode without the server. When you start your
computers each morning, simply turn on the server first.
What is the difference
between the full (paid) version & the free trial version?
Bahikhaata free trial version is almost same as paid version, but is limited to a trial period only. Besides some additional features available in paid version are disabled in trial version.
Bahikhaata free business accounting software trial can be easily upgraded to the full (paid) versions at any time by entering a code in the register screen, which you receive on purchase.
Both the trial and paid versions of Bahikhaata will let you
create an invoice, to test the system from start to finish.
However some of the business analysis reports may not be available
in trial version.
Will
this software be regularly updated?
Yes. BAHIKHATA 1.0 will be regularly updated. Each update
will bring the introduction to new or refined functionality
and/or performance enhancements. We value input from our users
and their recommendations are, whenever possible, incorporated
in updates to our software.
Why can't I see the entire
form?
Bahikhaata Accounting software requires that you use a screen
resolution of 800 x 600 pixels or higher. The software was
developed to put as much information on the screen as possible
with out overcrowding or making its look cluttered. The best
way to accomplish this was to make use of a higher resolution.
To change your screen resolution, open the Display Properties
dialog box. Click Start to open the Start Menu. Click on the
Settings selection. Click Control Panel to open the control
panel. Double-click Display, and then click the Settings tab.
Your monitor and display adapter determine whether you can
change your screen resolution.
